Game Day Wings = Impossible to Find
First off, can I just say that wings are near impossible to find the day before the Super Bowl? (Disclaimer: I don’t recommend grocery shopping last minute like I did, but whoops, I was in NYC all week and my hubby decided to throw a last minute party.)
Whew! Thank goodness I had put together a Pinterest Board for my last post, “Touchdown Dance Your Way to a Healthy Game Day”. We went to 3 different grocery stores and couldn’t find fresh chicken wings anywhere! We finally settled for a bag of frozen wings, which worked just fine!
If you’re going to use frozen, just make sure to thoroughly defrost them overnight in the refrigerator. I promise they will still taste great!
Healthy, but Delicious!
What I love most about this recipe is that these game day wings are way healthier than the typical breaded and deep fried version. Plus, they’re gluten-free! And the best part? The men all loved them! They ate them all up, licked every last bite off of their fingers, and went back for seconds and thirds!
I used Hampton Creek’s Just Mayo Sriracha to make a Southwestern Avocado Dip. I discovered “Just Mayo” at a local sandwich shop last week and was instantly obsessed. I couldn’t believe I had found a gluten-free, soy-free and dairy-free mayo, so I ordered a Trio of Flavors from Amazon Prime on the spot. It definitely came in hand, and ended up being the perfect combination of spice and flavor to complement our game day wings!
