Why Meal Delivery?
If you’ve been following my blog, you know that I like to keep it simple. I focus on easy, nourishing recipes and convenient time-saving techniques.
But sometimes, life gets in the way of meal planning. You might not make it to the grocery store, haven’t planned out your meals, or you’re just downright busy! And that’s why meal delivery services can be so convenient!
Take this week, for example. We are in the process of selling our house and have had showing after showing… after showing. Thank goodness for our new meal delivery service! Sun Basket has made it so easy for us to eat healthy, without stepping foot in a grocery store!
So How Does it Work?
First, visit Sun Basket HERE. Make sure to use this link to redeem the $30 offer code and pay less than $5 for your first delivery!
Then, select your meals. There are about 7 options to pick from, and you will choose 3 meals for 2-4 people. This was the perfect amount for me and my husband, because we tend to eat out at least once a week rather than cooking every single night.
If you have a sensitive tummy like me, you’ll be happy to know that there are gluten free, vegetarian, paleo, soy free, and dairy free meal options. All ingredients are organic, sustainably-sourced, and come pre-measured and separated in individual packaging. That means no wasted ingredients!
Every single meal is created by renowned Chef Justine Kelly (that means lots of flavor), but always approved by a nutritionist for nourishment, so you’ll be sure to get the best of both worlds.
Sun Basket currently offers free shipping to CA, WA, CO, UT, OR, AZ, NV, and ID. When your package arrives, it will be insulated and fresh, and ready to transfer to the refrigerator.
Let’s Get Cooking
So what did I eat? I selected 3 diverse meals so that you could see the variety Sun Basket offers.
Stir-Fried Beef with Broccolini and Snap Peas (paleo)
Salmon alla Puttanesca with Sautéed Chard (gluten free)
Braised Tofu with Turnips, Spring Onions, and Green Garlic (vegetarian)
The fresh ingredients were packaged in individual “baskets” or paper bags, and the meat was stored separately. Everything lasted in the refrigerator up to 5 days, so I had plenty of time to cook.
All meals included a recipe card with a list of ingredients. This was a huge perk, because I realized that I could store them in my recipe box and recreate my favorites again later!
All meals were ready in roughly 30-45 minutes, and I used a variety of fresh, seasonal ingredients that I likely would have never tried. The only thing I needed was cooking pans, olive oil, and salt and pepper.
After I was done, I put all of the original packaging back in the box and returned it to Sun Basket with the prepaid shipping label. Again, super convenient if you don’t have recycling!
If you don’t have time to grocery shop or plan out your meals, go ahead and check it out! Visit Sun Basket HERE to redeem $30 off of your first delivery.
